Government Centre for Security is responsible for a preparation and actualization of few documents important on national level:
- Report on threats to national security
- National Crisis Management Plan
- Prime Minister Regulation no. 18 regarding ventures and procedures of crisis management system
Polish national risk assessment is conducted regularly on two year basis in periodically updated document Report on Threats to National Security. This document is a basis of creation of the other periodically updated documents, specifically National Crisis Management Plan and crisis management plans of ministers, heads of central offices and voivodes.

The summary has been drafted on the basis of selected parts of the Report on Threats to National Security (adopted at 15th of September by resolution no. 167/2015 by Council of Ministers) created on basis of Regulation of the Council of Ministers on the Report on threats to national security from 30th April 2010.
National Crisis Management Plan consists of 3 parts: main plan, set of tasks in case of a crisis situation and functional annexes of the main plan. Main plan includes: a description of threats and risk assessment of their occurrence, including those relating to critical infrastructure, tasks and responsibilities of participants in crisis management in the form of a security matrix, a set of capabilities and resources planned to be used in crisis situations
Prime Minister Regulation no. 18 regarding ventures and procedures of crisis management system implements NATO Crisis Response System Manual on polish legal ground and includes two attachments – alert states (UNCLASSIFIED) and crisis response measures (NATO RESTRICTED).
